Just a few more of my Goosander shots from the other day, spent a good few hours with them and they did provide a good display, must admit the Trio does remind me of Hilda Ogden's wall plaques.....

Westport Lake.
Westport Lake this morning, not as early as we would have liked as although we both had the day off, life just kicks you in the backside sometimes (car problems)37 had been reported but while there, the numbers kept rising, till we had 47, 17 were Drakes, which as far as I know is a site record, this one being one of them, will post more later.

Knypersley Res
A quick walk around one of our favourite places, although everywhere seems very barron, it amazes me that fungus is still growing strong, have a few more species to post but feel they deserve a little research first to find out more information on them, the water tower was to be renavated but they have found Bats in the Belfry, so that has been posponed, hopefully not for too long, as it would be a shame to loose such an imposing structure. Many birds follow you around in the hope you have food for them, by the time you get half way round the main lake, you start feeling like the Pied Piper!!!!!
