Biddulph Waxwings.

Well what do you know!! Took great delight yesterday morning in being the first to spot the Waxwings, (not let Dearly Beloved forget it yet!) well have to clock up Browny Points when I can, they don't come along very often, not often I get one up on the Master! Although I had got him distracted loading up the car, but I had also just come of a night shift, so in my book that made us even. Cannot stop looking out the Window to keep an eye on were they are, getting very funny lucks from the neighbours, as you can imagine.

Finally On Our Estate.

After watching the Bird News and hearing of everyone seemingly finding Waxwings on their Estates, they seemed to be missing ours altogether, even though we have plenty of Berry Trees, but we check them every time we go out, so after a quick trip to Knypersley to see how the numbers were on the Goosanders, you can imagine the cry's of joy from Dearly Beloved when he spotted Ten perched high up, did not take him long to find the Berry Tree they had under servalance and with a few flights round they soon increased to 20 plus, ( as I have said before he has an inbuilt sat nav)!!
Only pity was they did not bring the Sunshine with them.

New Years Day!!

Well New Year is upon us, although it has not yet been a whole year since I first picked up my camera, I see this as a new start and want to start as I mean to go on, not a very good start weather wise but in two hours out and about managed to clock up 35 different species of birds, with the best two below, although have seen the Shoveler before never had it this close before,at Westport, the Goosander is a first and after seeing four at Knypersley Res, found this one by accident at Tunstall Park. Happy New Year to everyone.
