Well Dearly Beloved really came up trumps today, not like me to miss a trip out but had to take one of the dogs to the vets, (only a medication check up nothing serious)but what does he go and find without me!!!This is my second Wryneck, had one in Norfolk last September, but great to have one on our local patch and how great to see how many people turned up to view it, a great turn out indeed, record shot below to commemorate the day!!! Well done you Steve!!

Quick Couple of Hours After Work!

Quick trip out after my shift at work, to witness our local Male Pied Flycatcher's persaverance had at last paid off, as of 10am this morning he has now been joined by a Female, his delight was apparently something to behold and now love is really in the air!! also managed to find Curlew in one of the top field's and also this Little Owl was only available for two quick shot's in very high winds, but hopefully will be able to visit him again.

What a lovely day!! went to North Wales in search of Red Kites, alas non were to be found, but one could not help being blown away by the breath taking views, dropped in on a few places and while enjoying one last stroll along one last stream, for once in the day without the camera's, (could have ended up rather romantic) until we spotted this Mink basking in the sun, as you can imagine it was a mad dash back to the car to collect the camera's in the hope it was still there when we got back, as you can see it was!!

With so many places to visit so close to us, this is the first visit this year to Tittesworth and have to say it came up trumps today, spent just one hour in one of the hides and came away well pleased, did not get there this early last year and it suprised me how many species were out and about.
