Thankfully No Fog!!!
No fog expected last night so out went the camera and without fail had the fox turn up twice, a lot earlier for the first visit at 11.30pm then again at 2.30am, not sure if it was the same one because they never feed together, but I am pretty sure that this one was a female which I am really excited about because that means she will eventually bring along her cubs to feed.

Fine Tuning!!
With a little more fine tuning on where to position my Night Cam on my fantastic new post and food positioning, I got fantastic shots of a cat at 10.30 PM but by the time my Fox arrived at 2.30 AM there was a heavy ground mist moved in otherwise they would have been the best shots yet. Oh well will keep trying!!
Foxes Took The Hump While I Was Away!!
Thanks to my Partner not only sourcing, cutting, Trimming and then setting into the Bank what can only be described as a small tree trunk, I now have a much better platform to anchor my night cam to and although deployed most nights since my return from Jersey, last night was the first re-visit of my fox's, think they took the Hump even though I arranged my neighbours putting out their food while I was away, caught on camera at three different times during the early hours plus one very cheeky Magpie who seems to have a liking to dog biscuits!!

Birding Tours (Jersey)
These are a round up of the best sightings on my morning Tour with Neil Singleton, it was a shame we did not have more time at some of the sights, in order to get closer, as we spent sometime looking for the Bearded Tits (unsuccessfully) but the highlight was the Cetti's Warbler, you would not believe how close we were and it's call was absolutely deafening, but still this was the best shot available. Will just have to keep trying for the Bearded Tits perhaps in June when in Norfolk.

Worth The Visit To Jersey Alone!!
Having spent a week on the Isle of Mull chasing a single Hen Harrier, without even a record shot, to have up to 4 in the sky and about the same number going in and out of the marsh area viewed from the hides in the Wetlands Centre between St Peters and St Ouen was a joy to behold, I had decided to spend the morning with a local Birder Neil Singleton, anyone visiting Jersey should contact Neil on jbneil.singleton@gmail.com as he is very knowledgeable, he also works with the Durrell National Trust for Jersey and was telling me of their project to re introduce Chough back to the island, the female below was spotted on the way, in a field, Neil slowed down the car to allow me time to get my camera ready and the rest is history!!!!

Jersey
First full day on the island and up with the lark to try for a sunrise, but as it rose above the Hotel just got these beautiful colours in the sky, on the beach just opposite the Hotel had two waders present Oystercatcher (Eight)and two Ringed Plover, and just a quick shot of the tide coming in over the rocks, then back for a full English Breakfast.
Sunset In The North Sea!!
Still trying to sift through my photo's of Jersey but could not wait to get my sunset posted, taken from the Ferry between Guernsey and Weymouth, on quite a busy Shipping Lane.
